Mar 2024

March
was a total rollercoaster. We spent most of the month in Indonesia,
visiting Ethan’s family and having a week or so for our honeymoon in
Bali and Lombok. It was an adventure; we took a cooking class, snorkeled
with turtles and saw incredible coral and fish, ate lots of colourful
fruit, but also had an experience I never want to repeat ever again, on
an incredibly dangerous boat journey, and Ethan managed to pick up hand
foot and mouth disease. We made it back in one piece and have tried to
block out the bad memories. We also had 24 hours in Istanbul on the way
home, which was a nice bonus. Giving this month 5/10 - the highs were
wonderful, but the lows some of the worst!!

April 2024

A month of lovely gigs with Conor, Brendan and Ethan, as well as some @hildalandmusic
shows, hanging at Mando camp and the coolest thing of the month was
witnessing the eclipse, on top of a mountain in Maine with Eva and Con!!
Incredible to see, 10/10 month.

May 2024
An exciting month - my first time back at @orkneyfolkfest in years, with @hellocornerhouse!
Dad had us out helping to move sheep, we swam in the sea and then had a
lovely time in the hot tub at my aunt and uncle’s. Such a great time
playing at the fest and catching up with everyone. I also had some
really lovely record release shows with @conorphearn @bhearnyhearn and @theotherethansetiawan, got featured in @stringsmagazine and got to photograph some pals getting married in Portland. Another 10/10 month!

June 2024
Another lovely month with some album release shows, venturing down to
Baltimore and over to Wellsboro PA, led the band astray (it was google
maps’ fault, I swear) while hunting for coffee. And a lovely gig with @hildalandmusic at @coastalmainebotanicalgardens. Spent time at home in the garden, my favourite place. Chopped my hair short (in need of another cut now!). 10/10 again.

July 2024
Some summer time fun, hangs with friends in the woods of Maine and New Hampshire, swims. A brief trip to NYC with @theotherethansetiawan’s
fam to see a couple shows, see some art, eat some nice food, walk a
lot, hang with Brendan. Working on artwork ideas for albums, and some
lovely local shows. 10/10 again, peak summer in New England.

Aug 2024

Probably my most favourite month of the year! We finally got to have
our Scottish wedding, the best week or so in Orkney, with spot on
weather. So much joy and music and food and fun with friends and fam. We
then had some lovely gigs around Scotland, saw some incredible scenery,
caught up with pals, ate really well and just had the best time.
200/10. I love summer in Scotland.

Sept 2024
Started out still in Scotland, with a few more lovely shows, Ethan’s first ever mando camp with our pal LB Salter, lots of lovely catch ups, nice cocktails, more good food. A lovely walk with my soul-sis Elly Lucas, in the stunning Stirlingshire countryside. Then we were back in the States and out west for some gallivanting, including Bellingham Celtic Fest and some lovely shows up and down left-coast. I hung up some of my fav musician portraits and more at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA, those are up for another week or so, if you are in the area - go check out a show and see the works!
